With the first Tennis Vine Valley Athletic League regular season over, our women’s team is hitting the road to North Coast Section playoffs. They finished the year with 5-2, placing second in the league and have defeated every team in the league at least once, but have lost to Justin Siena, the number one seed in the VVAL. The league singles and doubles tournament will help determine NCS playoff eligibility. Tennis, unlike most sports, has to provide a submission with this year’s highlights to the NCS board. Seniors Perla Perez and Lauren Doran are looking to move on to play in the doubles tournament. Senior Samveda Rukmangadhan is currently the best singles player on the team, and she also hopes to continue playing after the season.
